A Minute Of Hunger
By Flurblewig

A minute of hunger. That's all it was, just sixty seconds of craving. He could get through it. He could ignore the call that shivered through every part of his body; to hunt, bite, feed. Forty seconds, now. Forty seconds to resist, to fight, to stand firm against everything that he was but refused to be. Twenty seconds, fifteen, ten. Ten seconds to take a stand against his nature, to spit in the eye of a Universe that said he was a killer.

Three, two one, over. He'd made it. The minute had passed.

And so, onto the next one.
